Welcome to the memorial page for

Shirley A. Hrobsky

July 20, 1938 ~ September 5, 2017 (age 79) 79 Years Old

Jefferson – Shirley A. (Witte) Hrobsky, 79 of Jefferson died on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Alden Estates of Jefferson.

Born on July 20, 1938 in Jefferson County, to Elmer and Ruth Witte, she married Henry Hrobsky on July 28, 1956, in Watertown.  He preceded her in death on October 9, 2011.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Jefferson, and was a member of Ladies Aid for many years.

She loved crocheting, baking, watching her grandchildren, and spending time with her family and friends. She had several jobs during her lifetime but she loved working for Elk’s Baker in Jefferson.  Shirley and Henry enjoyed sitting outdoors and listening to birds and other animals on hot summer nights.

Shirley did a lot of volunteer work, including driving for the Meals on Wheels program for a number of years and helping with Bingo at Countryside Home (now Alden Estates of Jefferson).

Shirley was a transplant organ receiver.  She was a very lucky person to not only receive a heart transplant 19 years ago, but also a kidney transplant in 2012. She was so grateful for the donors.

Surviving are two sons, Jeffrey Hrobsky of Pewaukee and Jacob (Kimberly) Hrobsky of Jefferson; three daughters, Joanne (Roger) Weide of Watertown, Jane (Irvin) Miller of Sullivan, and Judy (Dan) Bouchette of Watertown; three grandsons, Christopher (Storme) Bouchette, Brian (Desi) Miller, and Samual Hrobsky; six granddaughters, Jennifer Hall, Peggy Bouchette, Angela Weide, Tara (Mitch) Wagner, Heather Bouchette, and Cheyenne Hrobsky; five great-grandsons, Gregory, Matthew, William, Connor, and Reid; ten great-granddaughters, Taylor, Autumn, Kodie, Jordyn, Kara, Isabella, Ellidy, Natalia, Lexi, and Olivia; two brothers, Walter Witte and Albert Witte; two sister-in-laws, Rose Hrobsky and Marge Hrobsky and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother, Raymond, and two sisters, Diane Weide, and Sarah Zimmerman.

The Family wants to say thank you to all of the family and friends who has been there for Shirley throughout all of her life. The family would like to say a special thank you to Betty, Lewis, and Toby Schultz for everything they have done for mom and our family.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Jefferson with Rev. Joshua Martin presiding.  Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Olsen-Gibson Funeral Home and on Saturday from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church.  She will be laid to rest at Christberg Cemetery of Jefferson following to service.
