Robert R. "Bob" Damrow, 78, of Jefferson, died on Saturday, December 24, 2016, at the Rainbow Hospice Care Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on May 21, 1938, in Oconomowoc, to Reinhard and Amanda (Groth) Damrow, he married Betty Roth on September 6, 1958, in Helenville.  She preceded him in death on August 10, 1999.

Bob was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Helenville.

He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany.

He was employed at the former Braun's and the former Country Builders, both in Jefferson.

Bob was a member of the Helenville Volunteer Fire Department for over 40 years.  He enjoyed fishing and baseball and was very proud of his garden.  He also volunteered as a bartender at the Jefferson Blue Devils baseball games.

Surviving are three daughters, Joann (Matt) Von Rueden and Pamela (Jeff) Lawson, both of Watertown and Cheryl (Tim) Witte of Jefferson; four grandsons, Brandon and Nicholas Von Rueden, Chad Witte and Dylan Lawson; three granddaughters, Lauren Von Rueden,  Nicole Witte and Kendel Lawson; one sister, Carol (David) May of Watertown; and nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Helenville at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, with the Rev. Mark Swanson officiating.

Burial, with Military Honors, will take place in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the church on Wednesday after 9 a.m. until the time of services.

Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church or School in Helenville.

The Olsen Funeral Home in Jefferson is assisting the family.
