Mary Sue Butler, age 55, of Landenberg, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 15, 2017. Born in Chester County, PA, Mary was the daughter of Shirley (Howell) Ortega and the late Benny Ortega.

Mary worked as a grocery manager at SuperFresh where she enjoyed meeting new people and working alongside her colleagues and associates. She appreciated the simple things in life such as working around her home and the occasional evening out to Woody’s Crab House. Mary was known for “taking charge” so that she could ensure that things got done quickly and to her liking. Her most cherished moments were those spent with her grandchildren whom she and her husband, Brian raised and loved as their own. Mary was excited to be moving home to Landenberg, PA from Jefferson, WI to reunite with her husband. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Including her mother, Mary is survived by her husband, Brian Butler; two sons: Donald and Christopher Wileman; two grandchildren: Kathleen Speakman and Jacob Wileman; three brothers: Benny, Raymond, and Donny Ortega; and her sister, Shirley Jean Ortega.

A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at 11am on Wednesday, November 20, 2017 at R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 W. Main St., Newark, DE 19711, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10am. Burial will be held privately and at the family’s convenience.
