June I. Renz, 91, of Janesville, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at Agrace Hospice in Janesville.

Born on May 17, 1925, in Fort Atkinson, to Fred and Gladys (Curavo) Procknow, she married Willy Renz on May 17, 1945, in Fort Atkinson.  He preceded her in death on July 17, 2008.

June graduated from Fort Atkinson High School, Class of 1943.  She was employed by the former James Manufacturing as an office file clerk and by the former Schultz Brothers Dime Store, both in Fort Atkinson.

After raising her family, she worked at the former Schweiger Industries in Jefferson for 15 years in the sewing department.  June was an excellent seamstress and quite adept at quilting.

For the last eight years she was living in Janesville with her daughter.

Surviving are  one daughter, Cindy (Ted) Thompson of Janesville; three sons, William (Carol) Renz of Ocala, Florida, Terry (Cheryl) Renz of Fort Atkinson and David (Marge) Renz of Sullivan; seven grandchildren, Ceci (Caydin) Keyvanloo of Melbourne, Australia, Amy (Craig) Sharlow of Whitewater, Allison (Eric) Miller of Waunakee, Jeremy (Ashley) Renz of Delavan, Jason (Michelle) Renz of Jefferson, Brandon Renz of Ocala, Florida and Amanda Hoppe of Lake Mills; 10 great-grandchildren, Gage, Cade, Bree and Henry Renz, Trysten and Preston Thiede, Connor and Myles Sharlow and Jeffrey and Carter Hoppe; and nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and brothers and sisters.

Private funeral services will be held at the Olsen Funeral Home in Jefferson with the Rev. Bryan Engfer officiating.

Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Atkinson.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Jefferson County.
