Joshua M. O’Brien, 34 of Jefferson, WI, died November 6, 2017 at his home.

Josh was born on February 28, 1983 in Waukesha, WI, the son of Brian and Jill (O’Brien) Schultz.  Josh grew up in a military family and spent time in Idaho, the UK, North Dakota, South Carolina, Wisconsin, and California – where he loved to be.  When he was 16, Josh left home to wander and explore.  He loved life and being outdoors.  He was an encouragement to not only his family, but his many friends.  He loved to cook, and eat.  Josh was an encourager. He was appreciated, admired and profoundly loved.  He is described as a “free spirit with a great heart”.  Josh struggled and didn’t fully realize how his life choices effected the people that loved him.  Joshua Michael O’Brien was a good son, a great friend, and a man who was loved and will be missed dearly by many.

He is survived by: his Parents Brian and Jill Schultz of Jefferson; Brother Ryan (Melanie Exler) Schultz of Browns Mill, NJ, Maternal Grandmother Sally (Paul) Szczerbinski of Hartford, WI; Paternal Grandparents Eldon (Marilyn) Schultz of Ixonia, WI, Alice Schultz of Waukesha, WI.  Josh is also survived by a number of other relatives and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather Eugene O’Brien.

A celebration of Josh’s life will be held at a later date and friends are encouraged to keep in contact with Brian and Jill.
