Dorothy J. Hollinger, 87 of Whitewater, died peacefully on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Fairhaven in Whitewater.

Dorothy was born on March 3, 1930 in Elkhorn, WI the daughter of Glenn and Bessie (Bullis) Hollinger.  Dorothy is a 1948 graduate of the Whitewater Normal School.  She was extremely creative, highly intelligent, and an able-bodied person. She worked as a cartographer for many years, using her artistic gifts.  She was an avid painter and liked knitting.  She was a member of the Unity School of Christianity and enjoyed spending her final years at Fairhaven.

Dorothy is survived by: her Sister Dianne Bowker of Whitewater; Nephews Jason (Jaquelyn) Bowker of Richmond, TX, and Jarod (Melissa) Bowker of Fort Atkinson.  She is also survived by a number of great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

The family would like to express a sincerer thank you to the staff of Fairhaven, especially to Manny, for years of loving care provided.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Fairhaven of Whitewater with Chaplin Luke Bocher presiding.  Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the time of service at Fairhaven.   She will be buried at Round Prairie Cemetery of La Grange.
