Daniel (Danny) P. Lemke Sr. was called to his eternal rest on Monday, May 23, 2016 at the age of 52.

Daniel was born on July 7, 1963 to Robert C. and Dorothy (Roth) Lemke. He was raised in Helenville, where he attended St. Peter’s Lutheran School and Lakeside Lutheran High School, graduating in 1981. He was a life time member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and was part of the Wednesday night church dart ball team.  

Beloved, father, son, brother and uncle, his kindred soul touched many throughout his life. Daniel was a devoted farmer and loved his animals. He showed steers for 4-H at the Jefferson County Fair and Wisconsin State Fair, he would instill his love for the fair and animals into his son, Daniel Jr. (Dooz) and many other family members, never missing a fair. He continued his love for farming by running the Lemke Farm with his father, Robert (Chief) and son, Daniel.

Danny enjoyed tractor pulling. He was an original member of “Lemke Brother’s Pulling Team” and loved watching it soar down the track. He was a devoted sports fan, attending Bucks, Brewers and Cubs games and cheering on his Packers and Badgers.

Danny is survived by his beloved son, Daniel Lemke Jr. (Fiancé Chris Seitz), father, Robert C. Lemke, sister, Linda (Al) Haberman, brothers; Robert J. (Vicki) Lemke, James (Jean) Lemke, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, Godmother Evelyn Geissler and special buddy – Mojo. He was greeted at Heaven’s Gate by his mother, Dorothy Lemke, Maternal Grandparents Gottlieb and Aurelia Roth, Paternal Grandparents Henry and Alma Lemke, and niece Alison Taylor Pfeifer.

Visitation and the memorial service will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 1st from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. on Thursday morning, June 2nd prior to the service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Lance Hoff officiating.

A Christian burial service will be at the St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery following the memorial service. A luncheon will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran School immediately following the burial
