Cena M. Willmann, 90 of Jefferson, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Sunset Ridge of Johnson Creek.

Cena was born on May 3, 1927 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Merton and Frances (Merow) Yates.  She is a 1945 graduate of Tomah High School and on April 2, 1947, she married Lester Willmann at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Tomah.  Cena had a servant’s heart and was an awesome caregiver.  She worked at Countryside as a CNA for 23 years, raised 5 children of her own and babysat countless others.  She was a helper and a lady who put others before herself.  She was a longtime and committed member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Jefferson, serving with the Ladies Aide and “Nanny-sitting” during Grace Notes practices.  Cena was a dear lady.  She lived a full and fruitful life and she will be missed.

She is survived by: her Children Jane Crossman of Jefferson, Mick Willmann of Watertown, Steven (Sue) Willmann of Pineville, MO, Cena Willmann of Jefferson, and Nancy (Richard) Kolodzne of Madison, AL; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 5 great, great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Cena is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Granddaughter Kimberly Willmann, and 3 Brothers Lynn, Robert, and Merton Jr.

The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff of Rainbow Hospice and Sunset Ridge for the loving care provided.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, September 15, 2017 at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Jefferson with Rev. Matthew Krenke presiding.  Visitation will be on Friday from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church.  She will be laid to rest at Christberg Cemetery of Jefferson following the funeral.
