Barbara J. Sullivan, 89 of Jefferson, WI (formally Pella, IA) passed away on July 5, 2017 at Sylvan Crossing of Jefferson, WI.

Barbara was born on June 9, 1928 in Indianola, IA, the daughter of Thomas and Ruby (McFarland) Scott.  She was raised in Knoxville and is 1946 Graduate of Knoxville High and a 1950 Graduate of Simpson College, earing a BA in Physical Education.  She married John E. “Jack” Sullivan in 1953 in in Chariton, IA and the couple had 2 children.   She used her degree for 6 months and then followed her true calling, saying “the best job I ever had was being a wife and a mother”.  Barb’s children remember their mother as a perfect one, always putting their dad and them before herself.  Jack and Barb loved antiques and were dealers for many years and loved to travel together.  She was a kind and selfless lady who will be dearly missed.

She is survived by: her Children John (Sharon) of St. Torin, TX, and Susan Sullivan of Fort Atkinson, WI; 4 Grandchildren Patrick, Will, Joe, Annie.

Barb is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 sisters and a brother.

A private family service will be held at a later date.  She will be buried at Pella Cemetery of Pella, IA.
