Armond K. Zastrow, 93 of Jefferson, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Sunset Ridge Memory Care of Jefferson.

Armond was born on August 23, 1923 in Concord, WI, one of Herbert and Lillian (Rupnow) Zastrow’s four sons.  On September 13, 1942 he married Elaine Vogel at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Farmington.  Armond and Elaine shared the joys and sorrows of life’s pathway together for 73 years until their union was interrupted by Elaine’s passing on July 26, 2016.  Armond was a hardworking man, who was involved in just about every farm or agriculture activity.  He loved to garden and took pride in his geraniums.  Armond loved to be outdoors, spending time hunting and trapping.  He was a dedicated and active member of St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church of Helenville, serving on many boards and in many offices.  Faith and his children’s education were paramount and Armond was a founding member of Lakeside Lutheran High School.  He is now resting in the arms of his Savior and reunited with his bride.

He is survived by: his Children Beverly (John) Hachtel of Rome, Larry (Patti) of Heleville, Donna Zastrow of Madison, Gary (Liesa) of Pardeeville, and Gail (Neil) Kopplin of Lake Mills; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 3 great, great-grandchildren; and a Brother Lloyd (Karen) of Concord.

Armond is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Brother Herbert, and 2 brothers in infancy.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church of Helenville with Rev. Mark Swanson presiding.  Visitation will be on Tuesday from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church.  Armond will be laid to rest next to his wife at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Cemetery of Concord following the service.
