Wayne William Krause, age 78, passed away on July 15, 2026.
Wayne was born on October 6, 1947, in Jefferson, Wisconsin, to Raymond and Yvonne (Messerschmidt) Krause. He graduated from Jefferson Senior High School in 1966 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater in 1970. He later completed a Master's Degree in Marketing in 1972. Wayne spent his professional career in the sales of scientific and laboratory equipment before retiring in 2011.
Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Krause, in 1997; his mother, Yvonne Krause, in 2018; and his beloved wife, Ella, in 2020, after 44 years of marriage.
He is survived by his sister, Yvette Conte (Dave) of Kansas City, Missouri; his son, Timothy Medford (Elsa); his granddaughters, Cheryl Smith (Ryan) and Erika Medford (Tom); his great-grandchildren, twins Eddie and Hailey Smith; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Wayne will be remembered as a devoted husband and father, a man of exceptional character, fiercely loyal, generous and compassionate, with a quiet strength, unstoppable determination and a courageous spirit. Wayne's greatest hobbies included astronomy and photography.
In lieu of flowers, he requested that memorial donations be made to your favorite church or charitable organization.
In accordance with his wishes, Wayne chose not to have a public funeral service and has been laid to rest at Rock Lake Cemetery in Lake Mills, Wisconsin, beside his beloved Ella.
