Veronica L. Meyer

Veronica L. Meyer, 70 of Lake Mills, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at her home with her family at her bedside.

Veronica was born on February 23, 1956, in Fort Atkinson, WI, the daughter of Claude and Anna (Hamby) Meitzner.  She graduated from Maranatha Baptist Academy in 1974.  She worked many jobs over the years but took pride in providing for and caring for her family.  Veronica was an avid reader, loved to cook, gardened, and played video games online often.  Her grandchildren were the joy of her life and loved being with them.  She had a playful sense of humor, especially with her children and family.  Veronica was a kind person, who helped everyone where she could.  She cared deeply for the people in her life and she will be dearly missed. 

She is survived by: her children Leah (Joshua) Baumgarten of Reeseville, Sarah (Jeffrey) Reese of Farmington, and Hadassah (Jeremy) Opitz of Lake Mills; grandchildren Alex, Elliott, AJ, Levi, Ian, Leanah, Ethan, Ashton, Elisabeth, Liam, and a great-granddaughter Karly; and siblings Vicki (Bob) Walker of Beuhl, MN, Kerri Orton of Milton, and James Meitzner of New Berlin.  Veronica is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
