Susan L. Kophamel

Susan L. Kophamel, 73 of Fort Atkinson, WI, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Alden Estates of Jefferson.

Susan was born on October 3, 1950, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Raymond and Leora (Schwartz) Cvecko.  She is a 1968 graduate of Custer High School in Milwaukee and had 2 children years later.  She worked in retail management most of her life and married Robert Kophamel on June 30, 2012, in Waukesha.   She had an interest in cows, Betty Boop, and anything Wizard of Oz.  She owned and loved many Lhasa Apso dogs and walked them often.  She is remembered for her kindness, passion, and spitfire personality.  Many hours were spent watching classic movies and Turner Classics was her favorite TV channel.  She was NOT a sports fan.  Her family reflects on her ability to keep things in meticulous order and her saying “Take off your shoes!” before entering her home.  She took great care of her parents in their finals years and loved her children and family very much.  She will be missed.

She is survived by: her husband Robert Kophamel of Fort Atkinson; children Matthew (CJ) Breska of Kaukauna and Kimberly Erwine of Milwaukee; grandchildren Layne, Anthony, Dallas, and Angelo; siblings Scott (Dawn) Cvecko of Wauwatosa and Sharon (Robert) Hoffmann of Brookfield.  Susan is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A private family service will be held.
