Susan Carol (Buss) Coleman, 84, from Fort Atkinson, passed away on Saturday January 31, 2026 at Sunset Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care in Jefferson, Wisconsin. 

Susan was born November 29, 1941 in Watertown, Wisconsin to Rueben and Elizabeth (Will) Buss.  She grew up in Jefferson and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1959.  She married Darrell Astin on August 19, 1960 and later married Donald Coleman on September 21, 1985 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jefferson. 

Susan worked for 32 years at Jefferson County Human Services where she retired in 2004.  Susan was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson.  Her faith was very important to her throughout her life.  Susan was well known for her delicious cooking and abundant entertaining and spending time with family.

Susan is survived by her children Roni Astin-Lischka, Juneau; Cari (Ron) Pfeifer, Fort Atkinson, and Jodi (Jeff) Lipperer of Jefferson, her step-children Donald (Amy) Coleman, Jefferson, Suzanne (Bruce) Biedenharn, Edgerton, Joyce (Scott New) Kloskey, Fort Atkinson, Rita Coleman, North Carolina, and Amanda Henry of Texas, cousins Alan (Rose) Draeger, South Dakota, and Delwin (Sue) Draeger, Jefferson, 14 Grandchildren - Melissa, Corey, Nathan, Lauren, Sarah, Samantha, Blake, Miranda, Kelsey, David, Makayla,  Jaden, Annica, Tristan, and 14 great grandchildren, Isabella, Graham, Bailey, Chloe, Hudson, Brookelynn, Kaeson, Ryan, Keagan, Lincoln, Ellie, Reese, Eliah and Olivia,  and other relatives and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Coleman, Parents Reuben and Elizabeth Buss, her brother Steve Buss and other relatives.

Funeral Services will be on February 7, 2026 at 12:00 P.M. with visitation from 10:00 A.M. to time of service at Bethany Lutheran Church, 404 Roosevelt Street, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.  With a lunch to follow at the church
