Stephanie L. Bayer

Stephanie L. Bayer, 48 of Johnson Creek, passed away at her home on Monday, November 22, 2021.

Stephanie was born on December 30, 1972 in Madison, WI, the daughter of Robert Sauer and Linda Shafer.  When Stephanie was 7, she was adopted by Dale Schneider, her mother’s husband. She attended Deerfield High School and later attended MATC, where she studied nursing. She worked as a CNA at Alden Estates and as an in-home caregiver. Stephanie loved Florida beaches and loved life on her farm where she doted on her cows and donkeys.  Music was a lifelong interest.  Her 7 children were important to her and even though she struggled, she cared for them the best she could.  She attended their sporting events, cooked awesome Thanksgiving meals, and overdid Christmas.  Stephanie was small in stature, but mighty in spirit!  She had magnetic personality, her laugh was infectious, and she was generous to a fault.  Stephanie will be missed.

She is survived by: her mother Linda Shafer, father Dale Schneider, and birth father Robert Sauer; children Ashley Dunwald of Janesville, Kyle Dunwald of Madison, Miranda Schneider of Madison, Taylor (Dylan) Haffelder of Fort Atkinson, Austin Tomlinson of Jefferson, Jacob Schneider of West Phoenix, AZ, and Max Bayer of Helenville; 8 grandchildren, and her sister Kristel Schneider of Jefferson.  Stephanie is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandparent and brother Brandon Schneider.

A celebration on Stephanie’s life will be held at a later date.
