Shirley M. Lehman, 91 of Jefferson, passed away peacefully, on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Wellington Meadows of Fort Atkinson.
Shirley was born on December 15, 1933, in the Town of London, WI, the daughter of Herbert and Lila (Helle) Punzel. She graduated from Jefferson high School in 1951 and earned a certificate from MATC later in her life. On July 23, 1955, she married Duane R. Lehman at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Jefferson. The couple had 2 children and enjoyed 59 years of marriage until his death in 2015. She was the welcoming face in Dr. Paul Nevermann’s office for 29 years, a job she loved. Shirley was an avid bowler for most of her adulthood, golfed, enjoyed playing Euchre, and was a ROWDY Green Bay Packer fan! Shirley was loved dearly by her family and she will be missed.
She is survived by: her children Debra (James) Metzker of Englewood, FL and Dennis (Natalie) Lehman of Jefferson; grandchildren Ashley, Hannah, and Ryan; great-grandchildren Rosie, Aimsley, and Isla Mae; sister-in-law Linda Punzel of Jefferson and brother-in-law Richard Wagner Englewood, FL. Shirley is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Eugene, William, and Robert Punzel, and her sister Annamarie Wagner.
A Christian funeral service will be held at 10:00AM, on Monday, June 30, 2025, at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church with Rev. Peter Kesting presiding. Visitation will be on Monday from from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church. She will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery following the funeral.
