Sherry C. Capion, 75 of Watertown, passed away on Tuesday November 23, 2021, at Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center of Johnson Creek.
Sherry was born April 6, 1946, in Bisbee, AZ, the daughter of Jonathan and Vera (May) Sevak. She grew up in the area and later graduated from high school in Nogales, AZ. In 2003, Sherry married Gary Capion in Tucson, AZ, and the two shared 8 wonderful years of marriage until his death in 2011. In her free time, she loved to spend her days with her grandkids, especially when they were young. As the grandkids grew up, they affectionately called her “GG” – grumpy grandma. Sherry had many hobbies but especially enjoyed online games like World of Warcraft and was very good at it. She also had a talent for crocheting and could make a quilt in 2 days. Sherry kept to herself and wasn’t a holiday person except for Christmas when she would put up a beautiful Christmas tree and many lights. Some of her favorite things were Jackie Chan movies, the movie Godzilla and candy, particularly jellybeans. Sherry was a loving and kind woman and will be dearly missed.
Sherry is survived by her children Tracy Carrico of Watertown, Sherry Shinn of Watertown, Burt (Sarah) Shinn of Pine Top, AZ, and Samuel (Onea) Shinn of Tucson, AZ, 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, sisters Bonnie Sevak of Tucson, AZ, and Kathy (Mike) Brennan of Yuma, AZ, and brother Tony (Bonita) Sevak of Pahrump, NV.
Sherry is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two grandsons Timothy Davis and Adam Davis.
A celebration of Sherry’s life will take place on a later date in Coos Bay, OR.
