Shaena A. Davis

Shaena Davis age 59, of Madison, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at her home on Monday, December 23, 2019.

She was born Joan Ann Bouchette on August 6, 1960 in Watertown, WI to Richard Bouchette and Joan (Lemminger) Struble. Joanie changed her name to Shaena Davis later in life.

Shaena graduated from Jefferson Senior High in 1978. She was employed at Work Partnership as a job coach for 7 years. She was a member of the HighPoint Church for over 7 years. Shaena had a huge heart, was fun loving and loved children. She was a proud godmother and aunt to her niece, Kelly and proud aunt of nieces Amanda, Melodie and Katie, and when they were children, she visited them often and took them on many fun adventures.  She loved a good joke and enjoyed being teased by her brother-in-law, Paul.  She would gather up all her stuffed animals, her favorites being Bowser and Trixie, and go to area hospitals to visit the children and put on little skits and shows for them. Shaena had many jobs throughout her life working in restaurants, supper clubs, and other service venues, and the job she loved most was helping those with disabilities at her current place of employment. She made many friends at all her various places of employment and once she befriended you, she loved you and you became her friend for life.

She is survived by her mother; Joan Struble of Elroy, WI, and siblings; Randy Logan (Ann) of Cambridge, WI. Cindy Gess (Paul) of Fort Atkinson, WI. Richie Bouchette (Joy) of Elroy, WI. Dan Bouchette (Judy) of Watertown, WI, Jamie Logan (Nikki) of Elroy, WI, and sister-in-law, Ranie Bouchette (Jonathan). She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her father; Richard Bouchette, brothers; Jonathan and Timothy Bouchette, nephew; Jason Bouchette, nephew; Craig Duesterbeck, grandparents, and the many friends she loved and had taken care of over the years. She is also preceded in death by many dogs and cats she loved and had throughout her life, especially her cats Bootsie and Angel. 

A special thank you to Mike Seele for helping our family and for taking good care of Shaena and being a good friend to her.

A Celebration of Shaena’s life will be held from 4:00PM-7:00PM on Friday, January 31, 2020 at the Olsen-Gibson Funeral Home of Jefferson.
