Sandra L. Wellman, 73 of Fort Atkinson, passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital of Madison.
Sandra was born on March 24, 1947 in Watertown, WI to Frank and Phyllis (Brandt) Blasing. She grew up in the Lake Mills area, later moving to Billings, MT and then back to Wisconsin. Later in life, Sandra went to UW-Whitewater and graduated in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in geography. One of her favorite past-times was researching her family tree and keeping track of genealogy. Sandy always loved to be outside, and enjoyed gardening and bird watching with Dawn and Brian. Sandy had a keen eye and tuned sense to what birds were around her, and loved to share with Brian what she saw. Sandy was a lover of knowledge. She was a creative person who enjoyed writing, drawing, and reading mystery novels. She met the love of her life, Brian Larson of Fort Atkinson and the two spent over 30 years together. She loved to spend time with Brian and the two did everything together.
She is survived by: children Dawn Trick of Fort Atkinson, Cherree Wellman of Middleton, Tracey (Matthew) Kelty of Edgerton, grandchildren Katrina, Nicholas, Simone (Jenna), Paige, Gabriel, and Grace great-grandchildren Isaac and Ella, brother Richard Blasing of Deerfield, and a number of nieces nephews and other family members.
Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, and sister Debbie.
A celebration of Sandra’s life will be held at a later date.
