Ryan J. Davis

Ryan J. Davis, 35 of Sullivan, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at his home.

Ryan was born on May 14, 1987, in San Francisco, CA, the son of Robert and Stephanie (Johnson) Davis. He graduated from Berkeley High School in 2005 and attended California State University – East Bay, earning a BA in Economics.  Music was a passion, and Ryan was an avid and talented guitarist, playing with a jazz ensemble during his high school years.  Ryan appreciated the outdoors and time on or near the water. He enjoyed “Sunfish” sailboats on Lake Merritt in California and even taught many friends and young people the joys of sailing the small vessels.   His kindness and care of others endeared him to many.  His patience allowed him to tutor many students with wide-ranging learning abilities in a very affective way, and his memory will be cherished.

He is survived by: his mother Stephanie; sister Andrea (Chris) Kotrozo and their two sons Owen and Dylan; his aunt Susan Davis; and his dear friend Julia (Michael) Voorhees Martinez.  Ryan is also survived by other family members and friends.

Ryan is preceded in death by his grandparents, father, and other family members.
