Ronald L. Klug, 77 of Jefferson, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023 at Aurora Summit Medical Center of Summit.
Ronald was bon on January 2, 1946 in Neosho, WI, the son of Herman and Matilda (Krueger) Jischowsky. He grew up in South-Eastern Wisconsin and attended school there. On November 12, 1966, he married Arlene Klug, taking her last name. The couple had 3 children and celebrated 56 years on marriage in November. Ronald worked various jobs in the area but worked for Trek Bicycle Co. in Waterloo for 15 years until his retirement. He loved to be outdoors doing all sorts of activities, but especially loved to fish with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a tinkerer and took pride in taking things apart and fixing broken things. In recent years, Ron would do various art projects with his grand and great-grandchildren and he shared his love of coloring with them. Above all other interests, spending time with his large family was his favorite. Although his health deteriorated just this year, his family is thankful he is no longer in pain.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Klug of Jefferson; children Dottie Sanyang of Jefferson and Arlene (Julian Cruz) Klug of Lake Mills; 10 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and his 3 living siblings. Ronald is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Janet, grandchildren Luke and Patricia, great-granddaughter Alejandra, and his siblings and other family.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, July 17, 2023 at the Olsen-Gibson Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Bezanson presiding. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Ronald will be laid to rest at Richwood Cemetery following the funeral service.
