Roberta J. “Bobbie” Emerick, 82 of Rome, WI passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at her home with her loving family by her side.
Bobbie was born on June 9, 1936 in Dayton, OH the daughter of Robert and Martha (Smith) Cost. She spent her childhood in Dayton and graduated from Stivers High School . Bobbie was a cheerleader in high school and as such she would cheer at the football games. She and the captain of the football team, Larry Emerick grew very fond of each other and the two would go on to marry on October 27, 1956 in Dayton. God blessed Larry and Bobbie’s union with three children. Bobbie was a skilled seamstress and spent a lot her time sewing. She enjoyed it and was excellent at it. A highlight of her youth was being named Queen of Hearts at her high school’s winter formal. She fondly remembered that event and told that story often. Bobbie’s greatest love in life was her family. She took excellent care of her husband and children. She was also loving Nanny to her grandchildren and GiGi to her great grandchildren. Her family will especially remember her deep love for her grandbabies. They were precious to her. Bobbie will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by: her three children, Toni (Randall) Rammelt, Daniel (Mary) Emerick, and Kris (Chris) Falk; her grandchildren, Steven, Ryan (Vanessa), Jessica (James), Ashley (Mark), James (Justina), Nicole (Matthew), Danielle (Rocco), Zeke (Ali), Veronica (Joshua) and Bric (Margaret); her great-grandchildren, Mya, Scarlet, Adaline, Emma, Raelynn, Alexandra, Makenzie, Gabriel, Mattilyn, Josephine, and Hunter; a sister, Dona Smith of Beaver Creek, OH; and a brother-in-law, Mike Emerick of Columbus, OH. She is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.
Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Larry Emerick.
Memorials in Bobbie’s honor may be made to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church of Rome, the Rome-Sullivan Fire Department or Rainbow Hospice.
A funeral service to honor Bobbie’s life will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Rome, WI. Rev. Michael J. Mannisto will officiate the service. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 10:00AM until the time of service. Bobbie will be laid to rest in Hoffman Cemetery in Rome following the service.
