Robert R. Weisheim, 87 of Sullivan, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital.

Bob was born on July 16, 1935, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Alexander and Marie (Helwer) Weisheim.  He grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from Custer High School in 1953.  Soon after graduation, Bob enlisted in the US Army and was stationed in Kaiserslautern Germany, where he met his bride, Brigitte Ultes.  On April 13, 1956, the couple wed in Baumholder Germany and had 3 children.  During his 10-year service to his country, Bob worked as a Military Policeman.   After his time of service, he was employed with WE Energies, retiring in 1993 after 30 years.  Bob was a “car guy” through and through!  He and his wife purchased, drove, and restored a 1968 Pontiac GTO.  He later passed the car on to his son.  He had a deep interest in aviation and enjoyed building model cars, airplanes, and ships.  He was also an avid fishman.  Bob also loved to serve people.  Whether it was his church family at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church of Rome or his neighbors, if there was a need, Bob wanted to help.  Above all other interests, Bob’s family was the most important thing in his life, especially his grand and great-grandchildren.  He loved them dearly and considered their interested and needs often.  His memory will be cherished by those that knew and loved him.

He is survived by: his wife Brigitte Weisheim of Sullivan; children Ellen Ziemer of Hartford, Robert (Deborah) Weisheim, Jr. of Watertown, and Susan Wegner of Jefferson; 7 grandchildren James (Jessica), Michelle (Kris), Robert (Michelle) III, Samantha (Travis), Angel (Adam), Tony, and Lucas; 12 great-grandchildren Evan, Austin, Mason, Peyton, Logan, Cheyenne, Riley, Brigitte, Charlotte, Maverick, Ava, and Ashton.  Bob is also survived by a number of other family members, and friends

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church of Rome with Rev. Marilyn Lange presiding.  Visitation will be on Thursday from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church.  He will be buried with military honors at Hoffman Cemetery in Rome following the funeral.
