Phyllis A. Rattinger Obituary

Phyllis A. Rattinger, 94 of Johnson Creek, WI, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 3, 2024, at her home.

Phyllis was born on May 19, 1930, in Roosevelt, MN, the daughter of Edgar and Lois (Knudson) Johnson.  She graduated from Williams High School in Williams, MN, and on August 25, 1951, she married Joseph Rattinger in Lakeville, MN.  The couple had 3 sons and enjoyed 65 years of marriage until his death on January 30, 2017.  Phyllis was a talented baker, and she shared her talents with her family and friends.  She was the family seamstress and she truly enjoyed cleaning homes.  Table games and gambling, as well as trips to casinos throughout the country were times cherished.  Above all other interests and talents, Phyllis was most thankful for her faith and her family.   The family is taking comfort in knowing that she lived a full life and is now resting in Heaven with her Savior and is Jazz band dancing with husband.  She will be missed.

She is survived by: her sons Michael (Pam) Rattinger of Chicago, IL, Kerry (Angie) Rattinger of Fruitport, MI, and Richard (Crystal Fischer) Rattinger of Johnson Creek; 2 grandchildren Tina Rattinger and Ryan Rattinger; siblings Keith (Donna) Johnson of Stillwater, MN and Evelyn Schultz of Hastings, MN; Special Niece Lee Beth (Richard) Piatek of Douglasville, GA; other nieces and nephews (also special) Timothy Schutlz, Patricia Glenn, Vicki (Bill) Milton, Carol (Cory) Zupfer, Nicholas (Jennifer) Johnson, Douglas (Liz) Johnson, and Mary Lary.  She is also survived by a number of other relative and many friends.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Dwayne Johnson, and other family members.

The family would like to express a special thank you to niece Lee Beth Piatek for the loving care she provided Phyllis in her final days.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Rainbow Hospice Care in Phyllis’ name would be greatly apricated.

A Christian funeral service will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Sullivan with Rev. Dean Zemple and Rev. Robert P.
