Philip W. Davis, 79 of Slinger, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Angels Grace Hospice Center in Oconomowoc.

Phil was born on February 8, 1945, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Philip and Geraldine (Martin) Davis.  He grew up in Wauwatosa, graduating from Wauwatosa West High School in 1963.  Soon after graduation, he joined the US Air Force, serving his country, and was honorably discharged holding the rank of Sergeant in 1969.  On February 22, 1965, he married Lynn Capes at St. Edmunds Church in Elm Grove and the couple had 4 children.  He began working at KSM Industries in Germantown, beginning his career as a machinist and retiring as Vice President of Manufacturing after nearly 40 years.  Phil was very true to who he was, what he cared about, and his family. He was both admired and respected both personally and professionally. Phil was a very talented woodworker and could build or fix almost anything. Phil had a spot in his heart for his cabin up north, Spider Lake, where some of the family's best memories were made. He was not a man you would try to slide anything past. Best of all was his sense of humor and his quick wit. 

He is survived by: his wife Lynn Davis of Slinger; children Lisa (Robert) Gibson of Cedarburg, Philip (Sara) Davis St. Micheal, MN, Amy Grotenhuis of Hartford, and Jen (Andy) Cashin of Watertown; grandchildren Robert (Brittany), Ryan (Anna), Kate, Philip, Adam, Cael, Logan, Reed, Lauren, Jake, Davis, and Connelly; 4 great-grandchildren Robert, Andy, Hank, and Louie.  Phil is also survived by a number of nieces, nephew, other relatives and many colleagues and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Barbara Helm.

A celebration of Phil’s life will be held on December 14th from 11am to 2pm at the Slinger Event Hall, Town 9 100 W. Washington St. Slinger, WI.
