Obituary

Patricia J. Robinson, 77 of Jefferson, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2022 at her home.

Pat was born on August 25, 1945, in Burlington, WI, the daughter of Easton and June (Olsen) Whitmore.  When she was little, the family lived in several different places. In 1954, they moved to a farm in Oak Hill, WI, a very small community, just north of Palmyra, WI.  She was in the 4th grade and attended Pleasant Valley Grade School which was a little one-room country school.  She attended there through 8th grade.  She graduated from Palymra High School in 1963 and started work shortly thereafter at Jefferson County D.H.I.A. (Dairy Herd Improvement Association).  She worked there for several years and finally quit after the second of two girls were born.  She then became a homemaker and stay-at-home mom.  On September 9, 1967, she married Eugene “Robby” Robinson at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church in Oak Hill.  Three children were born to her and Eugene, Traci, Robin, and Larry.  The first 1.5 years they lived in a small house near Oak Hill, then in 1969 moved to the Jefferson area, living in a couple different places and in 1974, moved into her “forever home”.  Through the years, the family hosted six AFS exchange students.  Five of them for the whole school year and one for a large part of the second semester.  Five of the girls were from Brazil, Luciana Barros, Class of 1990; Adriana Arioli, Class of 1992; Claudia Cozzalato, Class of 2000; Lauren Aznar, Class of 2006; and Lunma Darwiche, Class of 2009; and last of them Lucia Siminoni of Argentina, Class of 2012.  Plus, Eugene was involved with the support of the AFS Kids and there were about 150 AFS Kids that spent an overnight or more at the Robinson house.   Pat really loved spending time with her family and her eyes really sparkled when the grandkids were around.  She loved doing crafts, always something to keep her hands busy.  When the girls were little, every year for several years, she would make matching outfits for the three of them.  We finally got her boy when Larry was born and she said that was enough.  She always loved to read and each night, about 10PM, the television was turned off and she would read until midnight.                                                                               - A tribute to his beloved wife. – Robby Robinson

She is survived by: her husband Eugene “Robby” Robinson of Jefferson; children Traci (Mike) de Groot of Fort Atkinson, Robin Aldrich of Milton, and Larry (Carla) Morris-Robinson of Johnson Creek; brother Larry (Linda) Whitmore of Fort Atkinson; grand kids Jacob Aldrich, Lucas (Yesi) Aldrich, Leah Morris-Robinson, Michela de Groot, and Easton Morris-Robinson; and two brothers-in-law Preston Kahn and Gary Kahn.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws, LeRoy and Ida Kahn, her grandparents, her brothers-in-law Ronald Robinson and LeRoy A. Kahn.  Pat is also preceded by her beloved Yorkies, “Nipper” and “Trixie”.
