Maria Cervantez

Maria Cervantez, 65 of Palmyra, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2020 at UW-Hospital in Madison.

Maria was born on August 15, 1955 in Mexico, the daughter of Leon and Tomasa (Garcia) Gomez.  She moved to the United States as a young women and married Epifanio Cervantez at the Jefferson County Court House in 1980.  The couple enjoyed 40 years of marriage and had 4 children.  Maria was kind woman, who loved the people in her life.  She had a sense of humor and that trait was appreciated by everyone.  She was a generous woman who put others needs before her own and she had a heart for helping those in need.  Above all other interests, she loved her grandchildren dearly.  The memory of Maria will be cherished by many.

Maria is survived by: her husband; 3 children and their spouses; 12 grandchildren; 5 siblings; and many other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, and a brother.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Whitewater, with Fr. Mark Neihaus presiding.  Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the time of service at the church. A second service will be held in Mexico and Maria’s body will be laid to rest in her hometown.

La Senora Maria Crevantes, de 65 anos de edad de Palmyra, Wisconsin fallecio el Martes 24 de Noviembre en el UW-Hospital de Madison.

Maria nacio el 15 de Agosto de 1955 en Guerrero, Mexico, elle fue hija de Leon y Tomasa (Garcia) Gomez. Maria llego a Los Estados Unidos a una edad muy joven y eventualmente se caso con Epifanio Cervantes en La Casa Oficial de La Corte Del Condado De Jefferson en 1980.

Ellos compartieron 40 anos de Matrimonio y tuvieron 4 hijos, Maria fue una mujer muy amable, le gustaba demostrar su carino hacia las personas que fueron parte de su vida. Tenia un buen sentido del humor y lo compartia con todos, algo que todos admiraban y apreciaban de su parte.

Ella fue siempre admirada por su generosidad y entusiasmo en apoyar y ayudar a quienes tenian neseciad o alguna dificultad, sin importar sus posibilidades, siempre ponia primero a los demas.

Sin embargo aun mas alla de todos sus intereses, tenia un profundo amor y carino por sus nietos.

Su memoria es apreciada y sera recordada por todos.

A Maria le sobreviven su Esposo Epifanio, hijos Mike y Rene y sus esposas, 12 nietos, 5 hermanos y muchos otros miembros de la familia y amigos queines le extranaran mucho.

Maria ha sido precedida al Eterno Descanso por sus Padres, su hija y su hermano.

Los servicios funerals se llevaran a cabo en su pueblo natal en Mexico, en donde sus restos descansaran en el Panteon municipal corresponditnete.
