Mae B. Endl

Mae B. Endl, 79 of Rockford, IL (formerly of Jefferson) passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Amberwood Care Center of Rockford.

Mae was born on February 4, 1942 in West Allis, WI, the daughter of George and Dessie (Holston) Montgomery.  She grew up in the area and later graduated from Fort Atkinson High School. Mae loved to walk and spend time outside. One of her favorite hobbies was secondhand shopping and window shopping, which she said relaxed her. A fun and loving mother, Mae enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and other family. She was the oldest sister in her family and an excellent caregiver to all. In her free time, she liked to play cards, attend family events and sometimes bake.  

Mae is survived by: her 5 children Angie Woods, John Endl, Leslie (Jay) Harkenreader, Jennifer (Ray Wempren) Endl, and Elizabeth (Russell Walters) Endl; 13 grandchildren; 22 greatgrandchildren; 6 siblings George Montgomery, James (Helen) Montgomery, Hope Wiles, Dawn (Donny) Compton, and Denise Montgomery.  Mae is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her parents; son Roger in infancy; grandsons Bobby and Kian, and brothers Ray and Donny.
