Kenneth Loterbauer Obituary

Kenneth J. "Ken" Loterbauer, 91 of Milton, passed away on Tuesday, April 20th, 2021 at home.

Ken was born on June 6, 1929 in Crandall, South Dakota, the son of Henry and Estella (McDowell) Loterbauer. While living in South Dakota, Ken enjoyed farming and raising cows. From 1951-1953 Ken served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Alaska. In 1957 Ken and his family moved to WI and he worked as a mechanic. Ken would be described as a jack of all trades and a master of none. He was known to be a hard-working man who did things based on common sense and was dedicated to helping those around him. For the past 36 years, Ken shared his life with Carol and they enjoyed doing everything together, especially working on the farm. Ken loved raising chickens, pigs, cattle and goats. He also had a passion for gardening and made the best rhubarb desserts you could find.

He is survived by Carol, six children, 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and three siblings.

He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Judy and five brothers.

A celebration of Ken's life will be held from 4pm-6pm on Friday, April 30th at the Olsen-Gibson Funeral Home in Jefferson.  Military Honors will take place at 4:30pm at the funeral home.
