John A. Robinson, 80 of Jefferson, died on Friday, October 20, 2023, at Alden Estates of Jefferson.

John was born on May 17, 1943, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Darrell and Doris (Lauterbach) Robinson.  He attended Logan High School in La Crosse, graduating in 1961.  John worked as a salesperson in the shipping and mailing industry – a job he excelled at.  On May 2, 2002, he married Sharon Wieland in DePere, WI. Sadly, Sharon passed away just 1 month before John.  John and Sharon loved being together!  They smiled at every opportunity and the couple were thrilled just to be together.  They shared a passion for the Green Bay Packers and made following the team a priority.  In years past, John loved annual hunting trips, spending time fishing, and many people enjoyed John’s grilled culinary treats.  Although the family will miss him, they are comforted that he wont have to suffer any longer.

John is survived by: his son Scott (Shauna) Robinson of Luxemburg; stepdaughters Lori (Mark) Butry of Whitewater and Kathy (Ed) Hart of Lake Mills; 16 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Alice Robinson of Delafield.  He is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife (2023), son Derek (2018), and brother James.

A memorial service will be held at 3:30PM on Friday, October 27, 2023, at the Olsen-Gibson Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Casey presiding.  Visitation will be on Friday from 3:00PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
