John M. Clark, 60 of Fort Atkinson, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at UW-Hospital of Madison.
John was born July 17, 1960 in Fort Atkinson, the son of Henry and Barbara (Hamann) Clark. John was a quiet man who enjoyed collecting memorabilia such as autographs and posters, especially from his favorite musicians. He enjoyed listening to heavy metal music and always dreamed of being a guitarist. John was a proud mentor and member of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous for over 30 years and prided himself in being clean since 1988. He shared his experiences to inspire others and touched many lives through his work as a mentor. John had a passion for his Harley Davidson and rode it for many years until he could no longer do so. His motorcycle truly was his “happy place”. He was also an avid Brewers and NASCAR fan.
He is survived by his brother Jim (Sandra Magee) Clark of New Berlin, sister Mary (Don) Piek of Jefferson, sister Elizabeth (Andy) Bare of Jefferson, nieces and nephews Craig Coleman, Johnny Piek and Lauren Froelich, Desiree Wieczorek and Ashley Slocum, Sarah Skretta and Jody Koch, and great-nephews Mason and Ivan.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Rita Koch.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at UW-Health for their kind and dedicated care of John.
In John’s own words, “Just remember I am never alone”.
