Jeffrey K. Brandt

Jeffrey K. Brandt, 68 of Fort Atkinson, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 31, 2023 at Fort Memorial Hospital.

Jeff was born on December 19, 1954, in West Allis, WI, the son of Dennis and Shirley (Smith) Brandt.  He graduated from Johnson Creek High School in 1972 and entered the US Army soon after.  He served his country until 1976 when he was honorably discharged.  He had 4 children.  Jeff worked as an electrician and was able to travel the world through his work.  Experiencing different places and cultures was a lifelong passion of Jeff’s and he especially appreciated visiting China and Mexico.  His work ethic was incredible and many family and friends benefited from his professional generosity.  Shooting pool was a talent, and his friendly spirit, jokes, and banter were appreciated or tolerated by many.  His family remembers his excellent cooking and they looked forward to trying his next dish.  His Harley-Davidson FXR was a defining part of his life and look (rattail).  He loved meeting new people in the bike scene, and he traveled many miles meeting likeminded riders along the way.  Above all else, Jeff valued his family.  He loved them deeply and was dedicated to their well-being.  He will be deeply missed, but his family and many friends will remember his kindness, hard work, and generosity.

Jeff is survived by: his children Bryan Brandt of East Troy, Kaleigh (Ross) Bennett of Riverside, IL, Jesse (Morgan) Brandt of Fort Atkinson, and Cheyenne (Darrin) Cernohous of Seattle, WA; grandchildren Charlotte, Oliver, and Baby on the way; and siblings Keith Brandt of Greenfield and Cindy Christophersen of Whitewater.  He is also survived by a number of other relatives and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Deb Brandt, and his nephew Joshua Brandt.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00PM on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at the Olsen-Gibson Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Bezanson presiding.  Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home.  He will be buried at Pioneer Cemetery of Concord in the spring of 2023.
