Janet M. Literski, 70 of Jefferson, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Froedtert Medical Center of Wauwatosa.

Janet was born on May 19, 1954, in Edenton, NC, the daughter of William and Emma (Brabble) Hoppe.  The family moved to the Jefferson area in Janet’s youth, and she graduated from Jefferson High School in 1972.  She married, had children, and later divorced.  On September 11, 1991, she married David Literski in Fox Lake, WI and the union produced a blended family with 5 children.  Janet and David celebrated 33 years of marriage in 2024.  She worked as an advertising salesperson for the majority of her career, but traveling was a true passion.  Janet and her sister (travel partner) explored places like Europe, Australia, Singapore, and the like.  They truly saw the world together, enjoying foreign wonders, but each other’s company.  She was a lady who was fun, full of energy, and lived life to its fullest.  She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by: her husband David Literski of Jefferson; children Greg (Mandi) Frohmader of Lake Mills, Tuffer Frohmader of Brookfield, Shelley (Justin) Bronstad of Fort Atkinson; David Literski, Jr. of Lake Mills, and Nycol (Jason ) Habermann of Watertown; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; and siblings James Hoppe of Waterloo, Linda (Mike) Witucki of Jefferson, and Cindy (Tim) Loiacano of Milwaukee.  Janet is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of Janet’s life will be held at a later date.
