Janet R. Hansen

Janet Ruth Hansen, 88, formerly of Edmore, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at her home in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.

Janet was born on September 18, 1937, at the home of her parents, Robert and Shirley Andersen, in Trufant, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Donald Hansen.

Janet is survived by her children, Lori (Randy) Brinks, Michael (Amber) Hansen, and Craig Hansen, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her brother Wayne (Donna) Andersen. She will also be deeply missed by many dear friends, members of her church family, and other relatives.

Janet graduated from Lakeview High School in 1955.  She married Donald Hansen on June 29, 1957. Janet worked as a beautician for many years and was active in her community. She enjoyed music, art, sewing, camping, and fishing. Above all, Janet cherished her family and her love for the Lord.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 17, 2026, at the First Church of God, located at 123 E Main St, Edmore, MI, 48829, with Pastor Steve Gulick presiding. Visitation will be held from 1:00 Pm until the time of service at the church. Janet will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery following the service.
