James Wisniewski Obituary

James E. Wisniewski, 75 of Johnson Creek, died on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Zilber Family Hospice Center of Wauwatosa.

Jim was born on December 9, 1945 in Chicago, IL, the son of Joseph and Lillian (Dombrosky) Wisniewski.  He grew up and attended school in the Chicagoland area and on November 4, 1967, he married Kathleen Ford in Chicago. The two spent 53 wonderful years together and had 2 children, Carol and Larry. Jim worked at Waukesha Engine for 35 years and retired in 2009. In his free time, Jim enjoyed collecting cast iron cars, and had over 200 in his collection. He was a jokester and could make anyone laugh with his great story telling. Jim was a hard-working man and inspired his family with his character. He was a wonderful husband -the best- and he will be dearly missed.

He is survived by: his wife Kathy Wisniewski of Johnson Creek; grandchildren Bobbie Jo (Jeremiah), Christina, Jessica, Samantha, and Zackery; many great-grandchildren, a new great, great-granddaughter; and a his brother Joe Wisniewski of Oak Lawn, IL.  He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Carol (2012), son Larry (2019), and brother John Wisniewski.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at a later date.
