Jacob A. Hrobsky

Jacob A. Hrobsky, 48 of Jefferson, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at his home in Jefferson.

Jacob was born October 19, 1973, in Fort Atkinson, the son of Henry and Shirley (Witte) Hrobsky. He attended Jefferson High School and graduated in 1992. Jacob served his country in the US Navy as a Petty Officer 3rd class from 1992-1996 working on submarines, something he was very proud of. On September 24, 2011, he married Kimberly Starlin in Sullivan and the two spent over 10 years together. In his free time, Jacob loved spending time in the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Although he didn’t like to be inside, he enjoyed video games and would often play long distance with his son. Above all else, Jacob cherished his children and his family, and spent as much time with them as he could. His family often had bonfires and reunions, and Jacob was never happier than when his family was all together.   

Jacob is survived by: his wife Kimberly Hrobsky of Jefferson; children Sam Hrobsky of Jefferson and Cheyenne Hrobsky of Jefferson; siblings Jeffrey Hrobsky of Watertown, Joanne (Roger) Weide of Watertown, Irvin Miller (husband of sister Jane Miller) of Sullivan, and Judy (Dan) Bouchette of Watertown; and close friend Toby Schultz of Watertown. Jacob is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jacob is preceded in death by his parents and sister Jane Miller.

An Open House in Jacob’s honor will be held from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM on Friday, April 22, 2022, at the Olsen-Gibson Funeral Home of Jefferson. Military honors will take place at 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
