Gerald T. Gardner Obituary

Gerald T. Gardner, 73 of Ixonia, passed away in his sleep on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at his home.

Gerald was born on November 30, 1949, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of George and Alice (Fonslow) Gardner.  He graduated from John Marshall High School in Milwaukee and served his country in the US Army.  He married Mary Bolda on May 19, 1979, and the couple enjoyed 32 years of marriage until her death in 2011.  Gerald worked in metal recycling and kept himself busy, even in retirement.  He took pride in taking care of his lawn and enjoyed other projects.  Above all other interests, spending time with his family and pets were times cherished.  He will be missed.

He is survived by: his brother Larry (Kathleen) Gardner of Arizona; step-children Joel (Anne Marie) Ferris of Ixonia and James Ferris of Denver, CO.; grandchildren Dylan, Rick (Tyler), Steven, and Dakotah; and other family members and friends.

Gerald is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sister Linda.

A celebration of Gerald’s life will be held at a later date.  His cremated remains will be laid to rest at Southern Lakes Veteran’s Cemetery in Union Grove with full military honors.
