George was born on May 5, 1957, in Evanston, IL, the youngest son of John and Ellen Jean (Groth) Thomas. George grew up in the northern Chicago suburbs, living with family until his parents’ death. He was known as a happy person and was easy to get along with. His family loved him dearly and he will be missed both by them and his community at St. Coletta.
He is survived by: his brothers David Thomas of Lake Bluff, IL, J. Patrick (Barbara) Thomas of Glenview, IL, and Timothy (Carol) Thomas of St. Augustine, FL; 11 nieces and nephew; and other relatives and friends.
