George D. Doyle Obituary

Geroge D. Doyle, 65 of Lake Mills, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at his home.

George was born on February 8, 1959, in Hammond, IN, the son of Cyril and Marion (Lorance) Doyle.  He attended Goodland Elementary, South Newton High School, and after his family moved to Wisconsin, he finished his education at Janesville Craig High School.  George was a salesman and sold cars or appliances the majority of his working years.  Collecting “things”, fixing and selling vintage stereo speakers, or socializing, were just a few of George’s interests.   He wore his “World’s Best Grandpaw” shirt proudly, as he cared for his grand dogs deeply.   He was very proud of his Irish heritage, and George loved the sun more than the sun loved George.  The Chicago Bears were followed closely, he bowled and played softball often, and music was his passion.  George loved a “deal” and searched for the value in his purchases.  His ability to make friends included all demographics and George was loved by many.  He will be remembered for his charismatic personality, soft heart, and generosity.  He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by: his daughter Lindsey (Devin Piche) Doyle of Fitchburg; siblings Mary (“Bud”) Brink Mauston, Ruby Kellogg of Monticello, IN, Terry (Vivian) Doyle of Janesville, Laurie (Jay) Pace of Waukesha, Barbara Plummer of Monticello, IN, and Darlene (Rich) Dawson of Dubuque, IA.  George is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Joe, Mike, Jerry, Jim, Danny, and Dave, and other family members.

A celebration of George’s life will be held on February 1st, 2025 from noon to 6 pm at the Waukesha Eagles Post 453. The address is 709 N Grandview Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188. Open house style event. Some of George’s favorite foods will be served, as well as beer and a cash bar. Around 230 pm a eulogy will be read by his daughter Lindsey, and will be followed with a mimosa toast in Georges honor. (He loved mimosas). Please remember to wear Chicago Bears, White Sox or Bulls attire or a band tee. A few of his favorite musicians include: Elvis, Peter Frampton, Paul Rodgers/Bad Company, Foreigner, Sammy Hagar, Nazareth, April Wine, Journey and Foghat. Truthfully anything from the 1970’s will work as he was a music enthusiast. Bonus points for Hanson or Britney Spears attire as he often was listening to those with Lindsey and singing his own variations of mmmbop and every Britney Spears song. A few of his other favorite things were squirrels, Hey Arnold(the cartoon) and Steve Martin. Specifically the Jerk and Planes, Trains and automobiles. If you can find attire in any of these things, he would truly love it.
