Frederick M. Kramer, Jr., 90 of Jefferson, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek.

Fred was born on March 8, 1934, in Lake Mills, WI, the son of Frederick and Gertrude (Gerstner) Kramer, Sr.  He grew up in the Lake Mills area, attending school there.  Shortly after high school, Fred joined the National Guard and on June 1, 1956, he married Wanda Gordon at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church of Jefferson.  The couple enjoyed 68 years of marriage and had 2 children, Scott and Patti.  Fred was employed as an over the road truck driver and a proud member of the “Million Mile Club”.  He worked with Schweiger Industries for many years, and later drove a bus on many casino trips, retiring from driving in the early 2000’s.  Fred was a fisherman, lived on the river, and spent many days with his children enjoying the sport.  Fred and Wanda were gamblers and always came out “even”.  He loved the Green Bay Packers and followed the team closely for many years.  Fred was a helpful man, who cared about this family deeply and his wisdom was admired and looked to by many. 

Fred is survived by: his wife Wanda Kramer of Jefferson; daughter Patti (Dot Guensch) Kramer of Jefferson; 2 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; siblings Carolyn (Mike) Lees and Ronald (Artis) Kramer both of Lake Mills.   He is also survived by a number of other family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his son Scott Kramer (2019).

A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church of Jefferson with Rev. Joshua Martin presiding.  Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00AM until the time of service at the church.  He will be buried at Rock River Cemetery.
