Frank F. Anfang

Francis F. “Frank” Anfang, 74 of Helenville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Aurora – Summit Hospital. 

Frank was born on August 2, 1951, in Cumberland, WI, the son of Ray and Julie (Lietzau) Anfang.  He was raised in Sullivan and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1970.  On May 18, 1973, he married Patricia Weber at her family’s home.  Together, they raised 4 children. 

Frank loved life and lived his dream owning a beef and cash crop farm.  He worked at Ladish Malt for over a decade.  In addition, he greatly enjoyed his 30-year career as a Union Ironworker.  He was proud to serve as a Jefferson County representative on the Farm Service Agency (FSA).  Frank was an eternal optimist.  He saw any obstacles in life as “no big deal” to overcome.  He considered it a good day if he was able to help someone.  He took great pride in sharing what he knew and enjoyed connecting with others.  He loved to have fun, tell a good story, and make people laugh.  He had a remarkable way of making others feel welcome, and his kindness and laughter will be deeply missed. 

Frank is survived by: Pat his wife of 53 years; children Jake (Brandy) Anfang of Chanhassen, MN, Timi (Matthew) Yonkers of Franksville, WI, Krissy (Greg) Staude of Helenville, WI, and Matt (Sheila) Anfang of New Glarus, WI; grandchildren Katelyn and Christian Anfang, Sami, Casey, Max, and Josie Yonkers, Vannessa (Cory), Alexis, Blake, Hailey, and Brynlee Staude, Colton and Declan Anfang; 5 great-grandchildren; and siblings Cathy (Ron) Zimmerman, Joan (Garth) Kuske, Chris Anfang, Mike (Lucy) Anfang, Tom (Shelley) Anfang, Jim Anfang, John (Lisa) Anfang, Ed (Karen) Anfang and Dave Anfang.  He is also survived by nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives, and many friends. 

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Ann Marie Anfang. 

An open-house celebrating Frank’s life will be held from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM, with a time of food and sharing at 12:00PM, on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at La Vista Banquette Hall (216 Golf Rd. Jefferson, WI 53549)
