Ernest E. "Jesse" Henschel

Ernest E. “Jesse” Henschel, 74 of Jefferson, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2024, at the Watertown Health Center.

Jesse was born on October 11, 1949, in Hillsboro, WI, the son of Augustov and Lillian (Rickman) Henschel.  He grew up in the area, graduated from high school, and continued his education, earning a bachelor’s degree.  He was employed in the manufacturing industry for the majority of his working years.  Jesse’s interests centered around his Native American Heritage.  He was a talented and dedicated drummer and singer.  He was the keeper of sacred pieces that he gladly shared with his family members, passing them and their cultural importance and responsibility on to the next generation.  His family remembers his generosity, love, willingness to share what he had, and his good demeanor.  Jesse will be missed.

He is survived by:  1 child Jesse Henschel; his sister Tammie Duran of Jefferson; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.

Jesse is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Leroy Henschel, Judyne Kurth, and Wayne William Bornick.

A celebration of Jesse’s life will be held at 1:00PM on October 13, 2024 at the home of his nephew N3909 Jefferson St in the Town of Sullivan (Rome), WI.
