Erin L. James, 26 of Marshall, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022 in Waterloo.
Erin was born on November 16, 1995 in Madison, WI, the only daughter of David and Denise (Hunter)
James. She is a 2014 graduate of Marshall High School and continued her education at MATC, earning a
medical assistant degree there. In 2017, she met her number one love – her son Kyzer. Erin loved him
more than anything else in the world and he was and will always be her #1. She had an infectious laugh
and when she smiled, her entire face lit up. Her personality was dynamic, and she was notably sarcastic!
Art was important to Erin, and she enjoyed thinking about, designing, getting, and showing off her
tattoos. She was known to have a lead foot and earned many, MANY speeding tickets. Animals were
very special to Erin. From large to small, she loved them all. Erin was lucky enough to grow up, known as
“The Four”, with her brother and cousins Kate and Claire. They were inseparable and despite being far
apart never losing that connection.
She is survived by: her son Kyzer James; parents David and Denise James of Marshall; grandparents Barb
and Brian Hunter of Sun Prairie and Ellen James of Marshall; brother Zach (Billie Nolan) James of Sun
Prairie; aunt and uncle Jesse and Sheila James and their children Kate and Claire James of Marshall; aunt
and uncle Clint and Amy James and their children Mason and Mykelti of Beaver Dam. Erin is also
survived by a number of other relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather Daniel James.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the Waterloo Police and Fire and EMS for their
service. Family would also like to express their gratitude to all the family and friends that have reached
out with thoughts and prayers.
All donations will be placed in a trust fund for her son Kyzer.
A Celebration of Life in Erin’s honor will be held from 1:00PM – 5:00PM on Saturday, September 10,
2022 at American Legion in Marshall WI.
