Edmund W. Andersen

Edmund W. Andersen, 87 of Jefferson, WI, passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, December 27, 2025, at his home.

Ed was born on February 5, 1938, in Waupaca, WI, the son of Edmund and Elizabeth (Nelson) Andersen.  He attended school in Weyauwega, WI, and married Margarete Halik on June 18, 1982, in Portage.  Ed farmed for the majority of his life, but also worked at various manufacturing operations, retiring from MPI on February 2, 2000.  Ed loved to work puzzles (always 300 pieces), paint-by-number art pieces, and did many beading projects.  He loved to go out for breakfast with his wife and was a longtime and dedicated member at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.  He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by: his wife Marge Andersen of Jefferson; 8 children Don Andersen of Clyman, Debbie (Rob) Chase of Columbus, David Andersen of Green Bay, Diane Andersen of Waukesha, Dawn Andersen of Green Bay, Justin Andersen of Fort Atkinson, Jacob (Tesha) Andersen of Jefferson, and Darlene Buth of Janesville; 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren (with one on the way), other family members and many friends.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents and 7 siblings.

A Christian funeral service will be held at 12:00PM on Friday, January 2, 2026, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church of Jefferson, with Rev. Christopher Raiford presiding.  Visitation will be on Friday from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church.  Military honors will follow the funeral.  Ed will laid to rest at Union Cemetery.
