Dennis Terwilliger Obituary

Dennis Allen Terwilliger, 65 of Janesville, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022, at Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center of Johnson Creek.

Dennis was born April 6, 1957, in Janesville, WI, the son of Walter and Delores (Schultz) Terwilliger. He grew up in southern Wisconsin as his family moved between Janesville and Racine, attending high school in the area. For over 40 years, Dennis worked as an over the road trucker with his copilot Lucky Dog and drove millions of miles accident free, earning recognition for his skilled driving. He was the first in his family to have his own authority, and he owned his own semi-trailer truck and controlled his own business. In 2009, Dennis met Sheila Konshak and the couple enjoyed 13 years together and became engaged on January 1, 2015. He was a diligent worker who took excellent care of his family, and would drop everything to help them, no matter the time of day or situation. He had an excellent memory, and if he had been there once, Dennis could remember the way without using a map or a GPS. In his little spare time, Dennis enjoyed metal detecting and was a “gearhead” with a great interest in drag racing. He even had started the process of building his own drag car. For the past few years, Dennis and Sheila were traveling in a fifth wheel camper seeing the beauty of the country and spending time together. Dennis was a great partner, father, and grandfather, and he will be deeply missed.

Dennis is survived by: his fiancé Sheila Konshak of Janesville; children Brett Terwilliger of Gig Harbor, WA, Jason Terwilliger of Tumwater, WA, Alisha (Jason) Johnson of Portage, and Kyle Konshak of Sun Prairie; grandchildren Alyssa, Alexis, Jamie, Brooke, Aaron, Hunter and Autumn; brother John Terwilliger of Twin Lakes. Dennis is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents and other family members.

A celebration of Dennis’s life will be held at a later date.
