We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Olsen-Gibson Funeral Home
Dennis C. Busch, 69, of Lake Mills, formerly of Lombard and Wheaton, IL, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Alden Estates of Jefferson.
Dennis was born on May 10, 1952 in Chicago, the son of Frank and Marie Busch. He was a 1970 graduate of Glenbard East High School in Lombard, IL and delivered mail as a letter carrier with the USPS in Lombard for 35 years.
He had a wonderful smile and enjoyed rock music, cars, wine and a good joke … or a bad one. He loved animals, especially all the cats in his life. In his later years, he had a long struggle with early-onset dementia. As one of his favorite John Lennon songs said: “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.”
Dennis is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nancy; his son Jason (Renee), grandsons Isaac and Landon; sister Beverly (John) Caruso; and nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to thank the care staff of Alden Estates of Jefferson, especially Shelly and Adriana, as well as the staff of Rainbow Hospice, including Lauren M., Krista S., Nicole S. and Matthew.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
Donations in his memory may be made to JDRF at www.jdrf.org or to the Jefferson County Humane Society, at W 6127 Kiesling Road, Jefferson, WI 53549 or their website at https://hsjc-wis.com.
