Denise K. Dorn, 66 of Jefferson, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026, at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek.

Denise was born on April 4, 1960, in Fort Atkinson, WI, the daughter of Harvey and Shirley (Kraehnke) Kottwitz.  She is a 1978 graduate of Jefferson High School and worked at various jobs in the area.  Denise was a very social person and made connections with people throughout her life.  She enjoyed many dinners out with her family and always appreciated a good meal.  She attended many concerts, near and far, and enjoyed social games such as bingo, playing all sorts of card games, and Yahtzee.  Denise had many wonderful traits and her perseverance and ability to accomplish goals were noted and appreciated by her family.  She was a very caring and down-to-earth lady, who loved the people in her life well.  Family gatherings were times cherished and Denise had a knack for organization.  Her detail-oriented personality ensured that every holiday went smoothly, and everyone felt welcome.  She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by: her son Brandon (Samantha Lehman) Sponem of Jefferson; grandson Jackson Sponem; and her pets.  Denise is also survived by other family members and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and other family members.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00PM on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the Olsen-Gibson Funeral Home in Jefferson.  Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.  She will be buried at Union Cemetery in Jefferson.
