Debra J. “Debbie” Pederson, 67 of Jefferson, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Crossroads Care Center of Mayville.

Debbie was born February 21, 1954 in Fort Atkinson, WI, the daughter of Henry and Jane (Frohmader) Miller. She married Harry Maass in 1973 and the two had 3 children together. The couple enjoyed their time together until his death. On July 4, 1991, she married Gary Pederson in Yakima, WA and the two shared 7 years of marriage together before his death in 1998. Debbie loved music and reading. One of her favorite pastimes was crocheting hats and scarves for the Christmas Neighbors and once made over 300 sets for the organization. Debbie enjoyed spending time in nature, and loved her family dearly, especially her kids. She was good natured and had a knack for goofing off to make people laugh. Debbie always put others before herself and loved to help whenever she could.

She is survived by: her children Joe Ann Maass of OR, Elizabeth Maass of WA, and Harry Maass of WA; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings Bonnie (Fran) Glab of Green Bay, Stan (Debbie) Miller of Jefferson, Charles Miller of Appleton, Rita (Tom) Pastorius-Miller of Fort Atkinson, and Mary (Scott) Weber of Jefferson.  Debbie is also survived by a number of other relatives and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands Harry Maass and Gary Pederson.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00PM on Monday, May 3, 2021 at the Olsen-Gibson Funeral home in Jefferson with the Rev. Dr. Bryan Salminen of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church presiding. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00PM until the time of service at the funeral home. There will be a luncheon celebrating Debbie’s life in the Community Room at River Crest Apartments in Jefferson at 11:45AM Tuesday, May 4, 2021 and her friends are encouraged to attend and socialize.
