David Verg Obituary

David H. Verg, 76 of Fort Atkinson, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Harbor House of Fort Atkinson.

David was born on July 12, 1947, in Watertown, the son of Harold and Lorraine (Buske) Verg. He grew up in Jefferson and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1966. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy and served most of his 4 years in Panama. After his service in the Navy, he worked at Schweiger Industries in Jefferson and Space Saver in Fort Atkinson. David was an avid sports fan and enjoyed the Badgers, Packers and Brewers. He also enjoyed spending time fishing.

He is survived by: his daughter Brenda (Damon) Randall of Jefferson; grandchildren Logan and Lucy Randall; sister Cheryl (Bill) Gross of Jefferson; nieces Carman (Jason) Seeber and Kimberly (Ethan) Grimes; and special friends and caregivers Julie and Rick Reinel.

David is preceded in death by his parents.

A private family funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at the Olsen-Gibson Funeral Home with Chaplain Steve Steele of Rainbow Hospice presiding. David will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery of Jefferson following the funeral.
