David E. Thurow, 57 of Fort Atkinson, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at his home.
David was born on April 28, 1964 in Baraboo, WI, the son of Darrel and Kay (Miller) Thurow. During the first 7 year of David’s life, his family lived throughout the World while Darrel served in the US Navy. When David was 7, his family moved to Whitewater, where he attended school and grew up. The 3 things that describe David’s interest best are: music, Matchbox Cars, and movies. He loved Paul McCartney and followed him his entire life. James Bond movies interested David most and he took great care to organize and admire his Matchbox Car collection. He was loved dearly by his family and he will be missed.
He is survived by: his siblings Darrel (Robin) Thurow of Arena, Donna Thurow of West Allis, and Dennis (Heidi) Thurow of Greenfield; 2 nieces and 1 nephew; and 1 great-nephew and 2 great-nieces. David is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Kim in infancy, and a nephew Darrel.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00PM on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at the Olsen-Gibson Funeral Home in Jefferson. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3:00PM until the time of service. David will be buried at Hillside Cemetery in Baraboo.
